About
After working in the foodservice industry for most of my life (I was the Executive Chef at Blackhawk Country Club 1983-1993, and the Executive Chef at Castlewood Country Club 1995-2003) I had decided to take a new path and I had set my sites on being a RealtorĀ®. After taking online real estate courses and upon passing the state exam I became a RealtorĀ® in April of 2005.
I am the father of 3 amazing children and I now have 7 grandchildren. My first real estate job in 2005 was with Century 21 Mission-Bishop with Alan Bishop at the helm. I enjoyed my time at Mission-Bishop. Alan’s training program was great and they taught me a lot about the right way to be a RealtorĀ®. I continued my career with Mission-Bishop when they took over the Heritage real estate office in Livermore.
In November 0f 2008 Alan decided it best to close the Livermore office but he had a plan. He had reached out to J. Rockcliff Realtors owner Jeff Sposito to take over the Livermore office under the J. Rockcliff Realtors banner and we had the choice of either leaving with Alan and work in the Fremont office or we could stay and begin a new career with J. Rockcliff Realtors. I of course stayed and became a J. Rockcliff Realtors agent and I was very happy I did. In September of 2011 J. Rockcliff Realtors became the largest Residential Real Estate firm in the Bay Area as per the San Francisco business times and is again for 2012 and 2013. I joined the Michael Swift Team at J Rockcliff in March of 2010 and am now the Buyer’s Agent Manager for our team. .
Michael Swift is a Real Estate Broker with over 21 years or real estate counseling experience. He is a founding member of the Northern California Modification & Short Sale Brokers Group. Michael received his real estate license at the young age of 19 and focused primarily on helping people out of foreclosure through forbearance agreements and short sales for the next 4-5 years during the real estate down cycle of 1991-1995. Due to his overwhelming success helping people with these complicated scenarios, he was recruited (1993) to Re/Max Executive as an Associate Broker to train the office agents on how to negotiate forbearance agreements (modifications of those days) and short sale transactions for their clients.
In March 2014 Michael and I left J Rockcliff Realtors and Joined Keller Williams Tri Valley Realty in Pleasanton CA. At the end of 2018 I was offered a position from a long time friend Joe DeLima to help him open a new real estate firm in downtown Livermore California. On April 1st, 2019 I joined The DeLima Real Estate Group located at 2219 First Street, Ste. 3A, Livermore CA 94550. We have a total of 3 agents now and 1 day a week we are lucky to have a Probate Attorney, Grant Toeppen share our office with us. We specialize in residential real estate for the entire Bay Area along with commercial real estate.
